"The consequences of German air raids in Slutsk district, Minsk province in 1916"
On the basis of reports of police officials about the consequences of the German bombing stored in the NHAB (fund 295: "The Office of the Minsk civil governor") the author provides information about the air strikes on the frontline of the Slutsk district for the period from October 1915 to September 1916. The results of 13 air raids on Niasvizh, Gantsevichi and Sinyavka are described. The author concludes that although the bombing did not cause significant losses, it created a permanent threat to the air, which became an integral part of the military everyday life.

Based on the information in Minsk periodicals of 1917 a typical frontline anarchy incident of that time is extensively described the soldiers of the reserve squadrons started to demolish the Mir Castle while looking for some alcohol, so it came to a bacchanalia that has been running on in the town for a few days. It is remarkable that incidents of this kind became a sort of a revolutionary time symbol. The presented information about drunken riots in Belarus and outside it during the revolutionary days of 1917 serves as a proof of that.

The author continues with the theme that he started to consider in a number of his previous publications the situation of enemy state nationals in the Russian Empire during the First World War. The process of eviction of the German and AustroHungarian subjects of Niasvizh, which started in July 1914, is described on the basis of the documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus. In addition to that, the destiny of some of the deportees was traced. It is emphasized that all the subjects of the central countries were exposed to discrimination, even those who had lived in Russia for years and had no connection with foreign countries.
